Thoughts on the Joker in Batman (1989) and The Dark Knight (2008) (via My Not So Fictional Life)

Forgot Emily did this post. Earlier this month, Emily took a moment to consider the differences between the two main film interpretations of the Joker in the Batman films of the last twenty plus years. While some prefer the camper version in Burton’s film, Emily makes a good case for why the one in Nolan’s The Dark Knight could be considered more effective.

Whether you agree or not, definitely worth a read. And tomorrow, she’ll be giving a presentation on Batman at a local graphic novel group. We plan on filming it and putting it up on YouTube, so we’ll probably link to that once it’s filmed and edited.
