Comic Caption Sunday – The next day

It's another Comic Caption Sunday!

Apologies once again for the lateness of this post. Once again, it’s a Comic Caption Sunday – brought to you on Monday. Unfortunately the working monkeys required the Sunday off, and since they unionised, my hands are tied. But thankfully they have managed to bag a selection of Johnny Depp captions with them. Huzzah!

YouTube Saturday – lemme exploit that for you, ‘kay?

Yep, it's THAT time of the week again!

Exploitation films (and Grindhouse films as they may be known to some) are an interesting bunch. My experience of them is pretty much limited to stuff that has been produced post-1965 and mainly made in the last thirty years, and so I wanted to share with you on this YouTube Saturday the five exploitation films I think you gotta go and watch sometime.

And most ain’t for the faint of heart.

The Ultimate Challenge: Going from Short to Feature

Hobo with a Shotgun originally started out as a fake trailer in a competition

I’ve often felt that most of my concepts for films can be expanded. You see, I like to build upon concepts – worlds that are different to our own. Part of the problem is that doing a feature is much more costly and time consuming – from inception to distribution. YouTube Saturday – my favourite European films

Yep, it's THAT time of the week again!

Paul has managed to drag me away from my Xbox 360 long enough to put together this week’s YouTube Saturday post. As you might be able to tell from the title, I’ve decided to look across the English Channel this week and give you the lowdown on five of my favourite films that are European in origin and very much not in English, but you know what? You should totally watch them even though they’re subbed and if you don’t watch subtitled films for any other reason other than blindness or illiteracy – then you are an ass. Enjoy.

Unpopular Opinions – The Matrix Reloaded was good!

The Matrix Reloaded - Opinions may vary!

–WARNING! THIS POST IS AN OPINION PIECE AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH!–

It’s often the case where not everyone agrees. It can be tough to admit you actually like something when everyone else seems to hate it with a passion, but we all have opinions and all of them differ. People need to accept that. I’ve found that talking to many people about The Matrix Trilogy, there’s a lot of people that didn’t like the second film. I actually love the second film and am going to try to justify myself here.
